NLL: Kleeberger leads Rossford over AW

Tyler Kleeberger threw touchdown passes of 65 yards to Jason Duly and 12 yards to Billy Pollock and ran eight yards for another score as Rossford defeated Anthony Wayne 24-9 last night in a Northern Lakes League opener on the AW field.

The Generals were their own worst enemy, throwing two interceptions and losing two fumbles.

Kleeberger had 55 of Rossford s rushing total of 75 yards and was 10-of-17 passing for 175 yards.

Rossford is 3-1 overall and Anthony Wayne 2-2.

Maumee 38, Bowling Green 27

Jake Causer threw for 297 yards and Tyler Rayford ran for four touchdowns as the visiting Panthers improved to 2-2 and 1-0.

Causer completed 20 of 36 passes, including an 80-yard TD pass to Omega Roberts.

Rayford scored on runs of 1, 2, 33, 4 and 4 yards.

Bowling Green s Zach Akenberger carried eight times for 119 yards, including an 88-yard TD run in the second quarter.

Brandon Radabaugh connected with Moe Al-Jiboury for touchdown passes of 24 and 43 yards in the fourth quarter for Bowling Green (1-3, 0-1).

Southview 13, Springfield 0

Southview s defense pitched a shutout, and Nick Valdez sparked the offense for the Cougars (2-1, 1-0).

Valdez caught Andy Skeels pass from 13 yards out in the first quarter, and gained 61 of his 83 rushing yards on a third-quarter touchdown run.

Montrelle Hayes gained 61 yards on 18 carries to lead the Blue Devils (1-3, 0-1).

Northview 27, Perrysburg 12

Casey Meridieth piled up 127 yards rushing and two touchdowns for Northview (3-1, 1-0).

Meridieth scored from one yard and 35 yards.

Northview s Matt Wade hauled in a five-yard touchdown pass from Matt Meridieth, and Mike Biniecki booted two field goals.

Ronnie Tisdale paced the Perrysburg rushing attack with 93 yards, while Chase Muir ran four yards for a score. Garrett Kinshaw caught a touchdown for the Yellow Jackets (0-4, 0-1).
