The senior forward is averaging more than a double-double for Bedford. The 6-foot-4 post player is scoring an average of 21.7 points and pulling down 12.9 rebounds per game.

Bedford coach Frank Scheuer said Lewandowski has a great work ethic.

“He has great determination and relentlessness in pursuing the ball, and he has a willingness to outwork the other players on the opposing team,” Scheuer said.

Lewandowski has scored 391 points and has grabbed 233 rebounds for Bedford (6-13).

“Zach's biggest strengths are playing hard, playing downhill, and attacking the rim,” Scheuer said. “He is a team player and also a team leader on and off the court.”

Lewandowski earned his way into the starting lineup midway through his junior year. He then averaged 6.0 points and 4.0 rebounds last season.

Lewandowski also has played for the Mules varsity tennis team for three years.

“Zach gives the team leadership and provides stability on both the defensive and offensive ends,” Scheuer said. “He has been given a ton of responsibility from guarding the other team’s best player, initiating our fast break, breaking pressure with his passing, and ball handling skills. There is not much that he cannot do.”
