DETROIT — Victor Copeland’s interception return for a touchdown in the third quarter helped seal Central Catholic’s 34-10 domination of Detroit Catholic Central.

Sharif McGee ran 13 times for 72 yards, which included touchdown runs of 2 and 11 yards. Troy Durden, who scored on a 22-yard run, added 74 yards on 12 attempts. Jase Bowen had the other touchdown on a 14-yard run.

The Irish outgained Detroit Catholic Central 314-123.

Whitmer 45, Perrysburg 15

Riley Keller completed 15 of 22 passes for 183 yards and three scores as the Panthers cruised on the road.

Keller’s touchdowns covered 2 yards to Devin Mauder, 15 yards to Tre Young, and 22 yards to Spencer Morgan.

Kobe Myers added a 5-yard scoring run, Austin Gibbons kicked a 27-yard field goal, Jake Gladieux returned a kickoff 78 yards for score, and James Covington returned an interception 76 yards for a touchdown.

For Perrysburg, Caleb Gerken scored on a 15-yard run, Chris Mason on a 31-yard run, and on a safety when a snap sailed out of the end zone.

St. John’s 32, Olentangy Berlin 14

LEWIS CENTER — Brady Lichtenberg completed 23 of 31 passes for 274 yards and five touchdowns as the Titans rolled.

Lichtenberg connected with Jack Ryder on three touchdowns, covering 26, 16, and 10 yards. The others spanned 28 yards to Marcus Garrett and 33 yards to Thomas Zsiros.

Ryder finished with five catches for 66 yards. Dimitrios Mitsopoulos added nine catches for 92 yards for St. John’s (2-1).

Berlin (1-2) scored late on a 7-yard pass from Jacob Moeller to Liam McGreevey, then with a 4-yard run by Johnny Spinner.

St. Francis 45, Cleveland Heights 18

Malachi Wyse ran for 187 yards on 24 carries, and Jakiel Wells added 84 yards on 11 carries as the Knights won at the Glass Bowl.

Wyse scored on touchdowns runs of 41 and 31 yards, and Wells had a 29-yard scoring run in addition to his 10-yard touchdown pass to Joey Carroll.

Jarrett Puckett booted a 36-yard field goal for the Knights (2-1), who scored twice on defense, first on an 87-yard fumble return by Julian Howard, then on Rashad Craig’s fumble recovery in the end zone.

Sandusky 14, Fremont Ross 6

SANDUSKY — Terion Stewart ran a whopping 49 times for 255 yards and scored on touchdown runs of 1 and 89 yards to lead Sandusky.

Ethan Chumley scored the lone touchdown for the Little Giants on a 5-yard run.
