  • So, what did we learn from Week 1 of the NFL’s regular season? We found out there are plenty of veterans out there who still can produce, and a handful of up-and-coming youngsters to hitch your fantasy wagon to.

Drew Brees, Philip Rivers, and Aaron Rodgers still will get you plenty of points at quarterback, it’s back in vogue to play Adrian Peterson in your backfield, and Randall Cobb, Emmanuel Sanders, Julio Jones, and Rob Gronkowski will get you plenty of points at receiver.

But if you were able to grab Patrick Mahomes, James Connor, Tyreek Hill, or Will Dissly (he is Seattle’s rookie tight end), kudos to you, because you could be in for fun ride this season.

As for Week 2, since the first week is a small sample size, there are a lot of questions, but let’s give it a shot.

    Start ’em

We saw what Ryan Fitzpatrick did against New Orleans (417 passing yards and four touchdowns), so Cleveland’s Tyrod Taylor gets to take his shot against the Saints. Taylor also can run the ball.

The Los Angeles Rams’ Jared Goff has some weapons at his disposal in Todd Gurley and Brandin Cooks, and also have a great target in Cooper Kupp.

Also make sure to put Atlanta’s Matt Ryan, Oakland’s Derek Carr, and Kirk Cousins of Minnesota in your lineup, especially if you get to play two quarterbacks.

Jay Ajayi is the bell cow out of Philadelphia’s backfield, so give him the nod against Tampa Bay.

Try to get Washington’s Chris Thompson into your lineup. He had a touchdown catch in the opener and should get the ball a lot against Indianapolis.

Chicago Bears' Jordan Howard could have a big game this week against Seattle.

Chicago’s Jordan Howard had more than 100 yards from scrimmage against Green Bay, and should better that at home against Seattle.

If Le’Veon Bell still is missing in Pittsburgh, make sure you play the aforementioned Conner. He should get plenty of touches to post good numbers.

Receiver Tyler Lockett is a good play with Seattle, especially if Doug Baldwin misses playing time because of an injury.

Take a shot with Golden Tate of Detroit, as Matthew Stafford should target him a bit.

Also try to find a way to get Baltimore’s Michael Crabtree, Pittsburgh’s Ju-Ju Smith-Schuster, and Adam Thielen of Minnesota into your lineup.

Grab Oakland tight end Jared Cook if you can. He had a monster game against the Rams, and was targeted 12 times.

Also, Tennessee tight end Jonnu Smith should take the place of Delanie Walker, who suffered a broken ankle.

    Sit ‘em

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck (12) has a tough game this week against Washington.

Andrew Luck of Indianapolis had a decent game against Cincinnati, but now he’ll go up against a tough Washington defense.

Green Bay’s defense should keep Eli Manning of the New York Giants from having a big day.

Keep Peyton Barber of Tampa Bay on your bench. Philadelphia should be able to hold him in check.

It’s still too early to play Indianapolis running back Nyheim Hines. He’ll get more playing time as the season progresses.

San Francisco receiver Marquise Goodwin did nothing last week, so let’s wait until he performs to get him back into the lineup.

If your league requires you to use a tight end, shy away from O.J. Howard of Tampa Bay this week.
