  • BOWLING GREEN — The Bowling Green State University football has accepted a bid to the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl, the school announced today.

An opponent for the Falcons, who are 10-3 this season, has not been announced. The game will be held on Thursday, Dec. 26 at 6 p.m. at Ford Field in Detroit.

This will be the 11th bowl bid in the program's history and the third in five seasons under coach Dave Clawson.

This also will be the second time the Falcons have played in this bowl. In 2003 BG knocked off Northwestern 28-24 in the bowl, which was then known as the Motor City Bowl.
