BGSU hockey team sweeps series from UAH

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The Bowling Green State University hockey team continued its offensive assault on host Alabama-Huntsville in a 4-1 win Saturday to sweep the weekend series.

The Falcons built upon a 1-0 lead after the first with three goals in the second.

Bowling Green (11-9-4, 8-6-2 WCHA) was led with a three-point night from Dan DeDalvo with a goal and two assists while Rusty Hafner added a goal and an assist.

Hafner’s goal was his first of the season.

Mike Sullivan and Brent Tate also scored for the Falcons.

Alabama-Huntsville (1-21-0, 1-13-0) got its lone goal from Stephen McKenna. It was the only goal the Chargers scored in the series after BG thumped UAH 7-0 on Friday.

The Falcons were outshot 27-26 in the contest while going 0 for 2 on the power play.
