BOWLING GREEN — The Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team will give away bobblehead statues of former Falcon standout Lauren Prochaska before today’s game against Miami.

The first 500 fans through the gates of the Stroh Center’s concourse level will receive a bobblehead featuring Prochaska, the school’s all-time leading scorer. Prochaska was a two-time Mid-American Conference player of the year and also won MAC tournament MVP honors twice.

Prochaska helped the Falcons post a 112-26 record during her four years, winning MAC regular-season championships her first three seasons. The Falcons won MAC tournament titles when she was a junior and senior to advance to the NCAA tournament. BG earned Women’s National Invitation Tournament berths in her first two seasons.

She also set an NCAA record by making 70 consecutive free throws.

Prochaska will be honored at halftime of the game, which starts at 2 p.m.

The BG men will host Akron at 6 p.m.
