BOWLING GREEN -- Bowling Green State University basketball coach Louis Orr is out after seven years on the job. The university announced Tuesday it will not renew Orr's contract.
"We want to thank Coach Orr for his dedication to BGSU and his leadership in developing men of character in the Falcon basketball program," BG athletic director Chris Kingston said in a statement posted on the school's Web site. "I want to personally thank Coach Orr for his professionalism and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors."
Orr's Falcons were bounced from the first round of the Mid-American Conference tournament Monday for the third straight year, dropping a 54-51 overtime decision at Northern Illinois.
Orr, whose contract was set to expire at the end of this season, was 101-121 and 54-60 in MAC play.
