  • IT was a superhero-themed night that enticed many fans to sport costumes at Fifth Third Field for the Toledo Mud Hens game.

But no doubt, outside of the Hens themselves, Muddy the Mud Hen was the center of attention, especially in the stands where he led cheers. Meanwhile, those in the suites were on the lookout for fly balls, which, as the dents show, come that way often. Peanuts, popcorn, hot dogs, cotton candy, and more abound on any night at Hens games, where folks watch the team or come just for the sheer social pleasure. Whatever the reason, be sure to get to a home game before the Hens fly the coop and the season is over.

Or, strrrrike, you’re out of luck ’til next year!

The Hens are home to roost Monday through Aug. 19 and again Aug. 24-27. If you attend next Saturday’s game or those scheduled for Aug. 24 and 25, you can stay for fireworks that will be set off after each game.
