Tiffin University is known for creating innovative partnerships in nearly everything it does, from helping students gain access to convenient programs and competitive internships to connecting them to professionals in the real world. The Off-Campus Bachelor’s Degree Programs are just another example of the school’s creative partnerships.
These programs offer students a cost-effective, flexible, and accelerated option to complete a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Criminal Justice. The programs are designed to work around job schedules and the demands of family life and still provide the opportunity to pursue a rigorous, professionally-focused academic program.
This innovative approach is designed to help working adults achieve career goals though the acquisition of enhanced technology, communication and leadership skills. The Off-Campus Degree Programs are structured to minimize the demands of traditional enrollment, which often conflict with work and family life, while still providing a seated format.
Through the partnership with area community and technical colleges, Tiffin University is able to offer the final 54 credit hours needed to complete the bachelor’s degree in a one day per week, one class at a time, accelerated format at various locations across the state of Ohio.
Owens Community College is just one of these campus locations. This particular partnership allows Tiffin University students’ full access to student services including, tutoring, library, computer labs, print privileges, and the health and recreation center. Services vary by location – Tiffin has agreements with Cincinnati State Technical Community College, Columbus State Community College, Cuyahoga Community College, and Terra Community College.
All of Tiffin University’s programs are authorized by the Ohio Board of Regents and fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. In addition, the Bachelor of Business Administration degree is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) and the European Council for Business Education (ECBE).
“For Schools of Business, accreditation is the most impressive measurement of a distinctive and innovative curriculum and Tiffin University’s School of Business holds this status with two of the most reputable organizations,” states Dr. Lillian Schumacher.
Many full-time and adjunct faculty work in their field of study and remain closely connected to their industry. This allows students to gain a real world perspective as well as providing valuable networking opportunities.
Eligible students are also encouraged to join the Iota Epsilon Chapter of Delta Mu Delta or Alpha Epsilon Kappa Chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma.
Delta Mu Delta is an international business honor society that recognizes and encourages academic excellence and creates a Delta Mu Delta community that fosters the well-being of its individual members and the business community through life-time membership.
Alpha Phi Sigma is the national criminal justice honorary and recognizes academic excellence of both undergraduate and graduate students of Criminal Justice. The goals are to honor and promote academic excellence, community service, educational leadership, and unity. Alpha Phi Sigma is the only Criminal Justice Honor Society which is a certified member of The Association of College Honor Societies and affiliated with The Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.
