2 killed in Sandusky County fire

FREMONT -- Two people were killed in a duplex fire in this Sandusky County community early today, authorities said.

The victims have not been identified, according to Fremont police.

The fire at 520 May St. was reported about 4:10 a.m., police said.

"Upon arrival it was found to be a working structure fire. The fire department discovered two bodies inside the burned unit," police said in a written statement. 

The bodies were later taken to the Lucas County Coroner's Office for autopsies, police said. Authorities released no further details.
