Bowling Green football will break in two new helmets this football season, the school announced Tuesday.
The Falcons will wear a white stars-and-stripes theme on the team’s Military Appreciation Night on Sept. 8.

The Falcons will debut a metallic orange helmet as well as a white stars-and-stripes theme to be worn on the team’s Military Appreciation Night on Sept. 8.
The helmets will join the Falcons’ standard brown helmet with white and orange trim.
Bowling Green announced a whiteout for its home opener against Maryland on Sept. 8. The team will wear white jerseys and pants with the white helmet, and the department of athletics is encouraging fans to come to the game dressed in white.
