Holland man indicted for felonious assault

A Holland man accused of fleeing from police and then trying to ram a police car was indicted by a Lucas County grand jury for felonious assault.

Bryon L. Hageman, 43, was indicted for a Feb. 3 incident on Holland-Sylvania Road near South Avenue where a state trooper attempted to stop his vehicle for reckless driving. A chase ensued.

At a Springfield Township residence, Mr. Hageman allegedly tried to ram a cruiser.

Troopers said shots were fired, and the driver again fled but was stopped and arrested a short while later in a parking lot on Hill Avenue.
