Two men accused of hiding in an Internet cafe until it closed, cracking open a safe, and stealing thousands of dollars were arraigned today.

Charged with burglary, theft, and safe cracking are Johnny Dean, 23, of 725 Colburn St., and Joseph Soto, 25, of 838 Avalon Rd., Waterville.

At the suspects' arraignments today in Toledo Municipal Court, their bonds were ordered to be set at $45,000 – $15,000 on each charge.

According to court records, at least two people went into Cyber City Internet Cafe, 2531 S. Reynolds Rd., through a back door on Aug. 4 – avoiding being seen by patrons and employees – and hid inside the business until closing.

Once the gaming business was empty, authorities said the two pried open a lock box and stole $3,700.

The suspects remain in the Lucas County jail and are next scheduled to appear in court Sept. 4.
