Nurse pleads guilty 
to misdemeanor theft

A registered nurse charged with stealing drugs from her former employer pleaded guilty Monday to a reduced charge.

Andrea Young, 37, of 3210 N. Reach Dr., Oregon, pleaded guilty in Lucas County Common Pleas Court to theft, a first-degree misdemeanor. She had been indicted for felony theft of drugs for stealing prescription medication from Bay Park Community Hospital, Oregon, where she worked.

Judge Linda Jennings scheduled sentencing for Oct. 23.
