A Toledo man pleaded no contest Tuesday to a charge of grand theft for stealing as much as $13,000 from the trucking company where he worked.

While Roger Glasgow, 53, of 5702 Angola Rd., faces up to 18 months in prison when Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Ruth Ann Franks sentences him Nov. 19. Brad Smith, an assistant Lucas County prosecutor, said that under a plea deal he will recommend Glasgow be put on community control and ordered to pay full restitution to Johnson Trucking, 2701 Eber Rd., in monthly installments of $400.

Mr. Smith said that while Glasgow was a tractor-trailer supervisor at the firm between Jan. 1, 2011, and Feb. 17, 2012, he claimed more than $10,000 for runs he didn’t make and authorized bogus pay for a co-worker.

Glasgow was previously convicted for stealing $35,000 from an American Legion Post in Tontogany where he had been commander and finance officer.
