Man found guilty in Tiffin murder of former girlfriend's mother

TIFFIN – A jury deliberated less than three hours today before returning guilty verdicts against a man charged with wounding his former girlfriend and fatally shooting her mother in July in Fostoria.

Calvin Dixson, 37, who had prior addresses in Toledo and Perrysburg, was convicted of aggravated murder and attempted aggravated murder in the July 28 death of Lisa Stowers, 50, of Springfield, Ohio, and the non-fatal shooting of her daughter, Tyeesha Ferguson Snowden, 36.

Dixson and Ms. Snowden had been involved in a relationship for several years although it had ended last December.

Seneca County Common Pleas Judge Steve Shuff is to sentence Dixson at 10 a.m. Friday.
