TIFFIN -- A former Perrysburg man convicted of shooting a former girlfriend and killing her mother was sentenced today to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Calvin Dixson, 37, was found guilty Thursday of aggravated murder and attempted aggravated murder, both with firearms specifications, in the July 28 death of Lisa Stowers, 50, of Springfield, Ohio, and the non-fatal shooting of her daughter, Tyeesha Ferguson Snowden, 36. The two women were seated in a car outside Mrs. Snowden's grandmother's house in Fostoria when Dixson shot the two women.

Seneca County Common Pleas Judge Steve Shuff imposed the sentence. Dixson made no statement in court.
