Mother in shaken-baby case gets early release

BOWLING GREEN — Wood County Common Pleas Judge Reeve Kelsey on Monday granted early release to a young mother sentenced to prison for shaking her infant.

Erin N. Taylor, 21, who formerly lived in Bowling Green but now lists an address in Wauseon, was released from prison after serving six months of an 18-month sentence for endangering children. She was convicted in March of shaking her then 6-month-old son on April 26, 2012.

Judge Kelsey placed Taylor on community control for three years, during which time she is to complete 300 hours of community service as well as mental health counseling, the youthful offender program, and the moral reconation therapy program run by the adult probation department.
