A Toledo motorist accused of driving off after striking and killing a motorcyclist was indicted Tuesday by a Lucas County grand jury on two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide.

David A. Robinson, 39, of 1846 Palmwood Ave. previously had been charged with failure to stop after an accident for the Aug. 21 crash on Douglas Road at Ida Drive that killed Jason Alexander, 32, of West Toledo.

Police said Robinson was southbound on Douglas when he went left of center and struck Mr. Alexander’s northbound motorcycle head-on. Prosecutors said Robinson had both alcohol and marijuana in his system at the time of the crash.
