Plea agreement spares children in rape trial
1/30/2014A Toledo man pleaded guilty Wednesday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court to raping three children under age 10.
Timothy Bragg, 24, of 729 Walnut St. faces up to 30 years in prison when he is sentenced Feb. 28 by Judge Dean Mandros.
Bragg was indicted on three counts of rape that called for possible life sentences, but Frank Spryszak, an assistant Lucas County prosecutor, offered a plea deal to three felonies that each carry maximum sentences of 10 years in prison to avoid having the young victims testify. The rapes occurred between December, 2010, and April, 2013.
