The mother of a Toledo murder suspect was indicted Friday on a charge alleging she offered to pay a witness to not testify against her son.

Lashasha Allen, 40, of 4858 Village Dr. was indicted by a Lucas County grand jury on one count of bribery, a third-degree felony. She allegedly offered $100 to a man expected to be called as a witness in an aggravated-robbery case involving her son, Quincy Allen.

Quincy Allen, 22, of 1343 Oak Hill Ct. is scheduled for trial Monday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court on two counts of murder, with firearms and criminal-gang specifications, for the April 29 shooting death of La’Quan Dunbar, 20. His trial for an unrelated May 15 robbery is to proceed after the murder trial.
