Two forgery counts have been added to a grand-theft charge previously lodged against the owner of a Toledo tax and bookkeeping firm.

A Lucas County grand jury returned the indictments Tuesday against Denise Blissard, 38, of 3532 Rushland Ave., owner of Professional Tax & Bookkeeping Service. The new charges allege Ms. Blissard deposited forged checks Feb. 13 and March 6 from the Great Lakes Center for Autism that were made out to her company.

In a separate case, Ms. Blissard is charged with grand theft for allegedly withholding more than $30,000 for payroll taxes for BioDri Michigan LLC of Blissfield, Mich., between March 1, 2011, and Sept. 30, 2011, but never paying the state and federal taxes.

That case is scheduled to go to trial Monday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.
