A man accused of inflicting "life-threatening injuries" on another man was arraigned today in Toledo Municipal Court.

Jerome Carter, 26, of 2520 Monroe St., is charged with felonious assault; he was ordered to remain in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $500,000 bond.

Police allege that Mr. Carter and a yet-to-be-identified suspect assaulted Jeffrey Miller-Lee, 27, of Toledo, by punching and kicking him in the head and about his body at 417 Cumberland Place at 11:15 p.m. Saturday, according to court documents. Police allege that Mr. Carter picked up the victim by his shirt and pants and "threw him" about 8 feet; police said the victim landed on the sidewalk and suffered critical injuries.

A hospital spokesman had no information about a patient with the victim's name.
