Denzil Wells II

Bond was set at $1.1 million today for a Toledo man accused of strangling a Toledo woman.

At his arraignment before Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Gene Zmuda, Denzil Wells II, 40, of 1411 Brooke Park Dr., pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and felonious assault for the April 13 death of Nicole Sours, 37, at Wells’ apartment.

Judge Zmuda appointed attorney Drew Griffith to represent Wells and scheduled a pretrial hearing in the case for June 25.
