The last of four men charged in a fatal Waterville Township home invasion was sentenced today to 25 years in prison.

Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Myron Duhart imposed a sentence agreed upon by prosecutors and Ronald Rooker, 33, when Rooker pleaded guilty to complicity to involuntary manslaughter, complicity to aggravated burglary, and complicity to aggravated robbery.

The charges stemmed from the May 18, 2013 shooting death of James Safadi, 34, at his home at 8940 S. River Rd.

Rooker, of 8930 S. River Rd., solicited three men to break into his neighbor’s house with the belief that he kept large amounts of cash at home.
