An Oregon man charged with breaking into a number of homes and stealing guns, electronics, and other items pleaded guilty Monday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court to three counts of burglary and two counts of attempted burglary.

Chad Bedford, 30, of 1965 Lilias Drive faces up to 26 years in prison when he is sentenced July 29 by Judge Dean Mandros. Among the items stolen in home break-ins in the Bayshore and Southshore neighborhoods in Oregon were five AK-47s and three handguns.

A co-defendant in the case, Hope Mendoza, 20, of Martin, Ohio, has filed a motion for intervention in lieu of conviction. A hearing on that is set for Aug. 18.
