    Aaron Hummer was stabbed twice in the chest, an autopsy performed Monday shows.

    The 21-year-old’s death was ruled a homicide, pending results from toxicology tests, said Dr. Cynthia Beisser, deputy Lucas County coroner. Dr. Beisser said Hummer of Toledo, also had several defensive wounds on his hands and right arm.

    The man accused of killing Hummer is Tyler Garn, 20, of 1019 Hawk St. Mr. Garn was arraigned Monday in Toledo Municipal Court and ordered to remain in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $1 million bond. Mr. Garn is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Aug. 14.

    Police were called to 3633 Almeda Drive at 1:34 a.m. Sunday. There, outside, they found Hummer’s body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

    Police declined to comment on where Mr. Garn was arrested, but said he was not at the scene when officers arrived.

    Police Lt. Dan Gerken described the victim and suspect as “friends.” What preceded the stabbing was not known. Police declined to comment on whether any witnesses were at the scene or if a weapon was recovered.
