A Toledo man entered an Alford plea Tuesday and was found guilty of robbery for the Feb. 16 holdup of the Family Dollar at 1910 W. Bancroft St.

Moses Kimble II, 54, of 2289 Upton Ave. is to be sentenced Sept. 23 by Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Myron Duhart. In an Alford plea, a defendant does not admit to committing a crime, but acknowledges evidence is sufficient for a conviction that could result in a more severe sentence.

Police said Kimble entered the store and demanded cash. He reportedly did not show a weapon but kept his hand inside his coat pocket as if he had one.
