Woman gets probation for punching officer

A Toledo woman was placed on probation Tuesday for the June 5 attack on a Toledo police officer who was trying to arrest her.

Amanda Adams, 34, of the 700 block of Brinton Drive, was given a sentence of three years on community control by Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Linda Jennings.

Adams had allegedly assaulted her ex-boyfriend when police were called. She refused to leave his apartment and punched Officer Danielle Kasprzak with a closed fist when the officer told her she was under arrest.
