Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control Office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800.

For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

 

Dogs killed

Dogs killed April 25-28 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable). Dogs killed for poor behavior are scored on a scale up to 5, with higher scores being more aggressive:

“Pit bull,” black and white female, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression (scored 4 out of 4 on April 24), surrendered by Michelle Linker, Adella Street, Toledo.

Dachshund mix, black and orange male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/body handling (scored 5/5 on April 21), Brown Avenue, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

“Pit bull,” black and white female, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression (scored 3/4 on April 26), East Weber Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.
