Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800.

For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

 

Dogs killed

Dogs killed April 30 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable). Dogs killed for poor behavior are scored on a scale up to 5, with higher scores being more aggressive:

Beagle mix, black and orange male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/body handling (scored 4 out of 5 on April 29), Sunset Boulevard, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

“Pit bull,” white and brown male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression (scored 3/4 on April 29), Clay Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

German shepherd, tan and white male, unlicensed, fearful/unsafe, Fryer Avenue, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.
