Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable). Dogs killed for poor behavior are scored on a scale up to 5, with higher scores being more aggressive:

Parson Russell terrier, white and orange female, unlicensed, veterinarian recommended euthanasia/ quality of life (dog was very thin, had muscle wasting, large mammary tumor, and severe dental disease with pus and root exposure on back teeth), Starr Avenue, Oregon, stray picked up by a control officer.

Boxer, white female, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia (dog was unable to get up or use hind end), surrendered by Jessica Perez, Fifth Street, Toledo.

Flat-coated retriever mix, black male, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia (dog was elderly, not eating or drinking), surrendered by Steven Ramm, Westacre Lane, Toledo.

German shepherd/“pit bull” mix, brindle female, unlicensed, bite history, surrendered by Linda Barto, Hill Avenue, Toledo.

Boxer, orange and white male, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia (dog had bite history and was aggressive/ unsafe), surrendered by Shawn Myers, Revere Drive, Toledo.

Chow chow, black and white female, unlicensed, fearful/ unsafe, South Avenue, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

Labrador retriever, chocolate female, Texas Street, Whitehouse, stray picked up by a control officer.

Labrador retriever mix, black male, Ash Street, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

 

Dogs transferred

Dogs transferred May 1-3 to Planned Pethood, Hairy Houdini Husky Rescue, and Shar Pei Savers under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

German shepherd, black and tan female, Avondale Avenue, Toledo, confiscated by the Lucas County Sheriff's department during an eviction.

Siberian husky, black and white female, Starr Avenue, Oregon, stray picked up by a control officer.

Chinese Shar-pei, red male, North Michigan Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.
