These dogs are newly available for adoption at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control Office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800.

Listed are the name, breed, sex, and impound number.

For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

If you are searching for a lost dog, the office is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. You must bring a photo ID to walk through the holding areas.

 

Dogs killed

Dogs killed June 23 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Cavalier King Charles spaniel mix, red and white male, licensed, bite history, surrendered by Arnold Murphy, White Street, Toledo.

Rottweiler, black and orange male, unlicensed, bite history, surrendered by Danny Witcher, Spencer Street, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” tan and white male, unlicensed, bite history (known dog that owners did not claim after being contacted), Belmont Avenue, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

“Pit bull,” gray and white male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/body handling (scored 3 out of 5 on June 11), Lawrence Avenue, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

Labrador retriever, chocolate male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/body handling (scored 5/5 on June 22), surrendered by Jacquelyn Holtgreven, Deer Ridge Road, Maumee.

“Pit bull,” gray and white female, unlicensed, aggressive/unsafe, Western Avenue, Toledo, stay brought to the shelter.
