Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control Office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800.

For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

 

Dogs killed

Dogs killed June 27 and 29 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable). Dogs killed for poor behavior are scored on a scale up to 5, with higher scores being more aggressive:

Labrador retriever/“pit bull” mix, white and tan male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression (scored 4/4 on June 26), Mulberry Street, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

German shepherd, orange and white female, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression (scored 4/4 on June 26), Bennett Road, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

Anatolian shepherd mix, tan male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/food guarder (scored 5 out of 5 on June 26), Kedron Street, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

“Pit bull,” black and white female, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/body handling (scored 3/5 on June 25), South Erie Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.
