Dogs killed Aug. 4-5 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

 

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable). Dogs killed for poor behavior are scored on a scale up to 5, with higher scores being more aggressive:

 

“Pit bull,” white and brown female, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression (scored 4 out of 4 on Aug. 3), Stanton Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

 

“Pit bull,” white and black male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/resource guarder (scored 3/5 on Aug. 3), Indiana Avenue, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

 

Rottweiler mix, brown and black male, unlicensed, veterinarian recommended euthanasia/quality of life (severe bilateral hip dysplasia and arthritis, bilateral luxating patellas, severe chronic dermatitis, muscle atrophy in rear legs, pain), Walker Avenue, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

 

“Pit bull,” tan and white male, unlicensed, bit a person while running loose, Buckingham Road, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

 

“Pit bull,” white and black male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression (scored 4/4 on July 28), Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.
