The partial shutdown of the federal government is delaying this week’s announcements about the September unemployment rates in Ohio and Michigan.

Both states depend on federal Bureau of Labor Statistics and Census Bureau data to assemble the report, and both of those agencies have been affected by the shutdown.

The Michigan rate was scheduled to be announced Wednesday. The Ohio rate was to be announced Friday. No new dates for the announcements were set.
