Thompson, a retired CEO and entrepreneur and a director of Chrysler Group LLC, will speak about “Be Prepared to Succeed” at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Student Union Ingman Room at the University of Toledo. He was CEO and chairman of the Maumee-based Midwest Stamping, which became one of the largest minority-owned companies in the United States.

■ Derek Hochradel from Berkley Mid-Atlantic Group will speak about “What Impacts Your Business Insurance Cost” at the monthly meeting of the Northwest Ohio Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association, at noon Nov. 21 at Brandywine Country Club.
