2013 Sylvania City Schools Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Tami Blue has been a homeroom team leader for 5 years, responsible for planning homerooms and school-wide activity days. She is the advisor for the video production club, digiCats, creating videos for fun and to promote the school and district. Mrs. Blue is also a member of the Band Aid planning committee which chooses a charity and hosts an event to raise money for them. She has been a guest speaker for Art education at the University of Toledo, and instructor at Frostburg State University Special Education Summer Institute. She started a diversity and anti-bullying club called coexist that meets several times every week.

"Mrs. Blue's authentic projects in iMedia connect her students' creative and analytical skills to the world beyond our school's walls," said Steve Swaggerty, principal.

Mrs. Blue holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science (2000) from Waynesburg University, and has attended the Bachelor's Plus Program (2001) at Ashland University and the Career Tech Program (2007-2009) at the University of Toledo. She is currently enrolled in Marygrove College; Masters in the Art Teaching: Effective Teaching in the 21st Century, technology, and pedagogy emphasis.
