The Lucas County Commissioners today approved sending $25,000 to the Toledo Community Foundation to help in the launch of a new program designed to improve the health and education outcomes for children.
The pledge was made to fund Aspire, a non-profit organization that is focusing community-wide efforts to help children from "cradle to career," including a emphasis on preparing children for kindergarten and increasing graduation rates.
