Toledo School for the Arts teacher to receive $5,000 grant
4/14/2014Toledo School for the Arts teacher Lydia Horvath will receive a $5,000 fellowship from the National Artist Teacher Fellowship program, and the school will receive a grant of $1,500 to support her post fellowship activities in the school.
Ms. Horvath will use the money to attend a printmaking course on combined image and word in Saugatuck, Mich., and rent a studio in Toledo. Post-fellowship funds will be used to purchase a letterpress for the school, which is a charter school downtown with an enrollment of 670 students from 23 school districts, with a college preparatory curriculum in grades six to 12.
