P. J. Kapfhammer has been president of the Oregon City School Board since July, 2012.
Oregon school board President P.J. Kapfhammer resigned during Tuesday night‘s board meeting, school officials have confirmed.
Details on the resignation were not available early today. Mr. Kapfhammer has been the president of the board since July, 2012.
Mr. Kapfhammer earlier this year entered a no contest plea in Maumee Municipal Court to a disorderly conduct charge, a minor misdemeanor, and was found guilty by Judge Gary Byers.
Charges were originally filed on Feb. 13 against Mr. Kapfhammer after a police investigation found that he had yelled a profanity and threatened to harm a 25-year-old with autism who serves as an honorary manager of the high baseball team. The victim was working out with the players when the incident occurred.
