Columbia Gas of Ohio Inc. said Monday that its residential customer rate for December will be 51 cents per hundred cubic feet of natural gas, a one-cent decrease from December, 2012. The rate also is three cents higher than last month's rate.
The gas utility said the December rate is a combination of the New York Mercantile Exchange’s recent closing price of 38 cents per hundred cubic feet, plus a 13-cent state approved service fee.
Columbia Gas said the new rate will place the average residential bill at $93.61.
