Columbia Gas’ plans to replace gas mains and service pipes in two South Toledo neighborhoods this year will be the subject of a public meeting Monday at the Heatherdowns Branch library.
Columbia hopes to start work later this month to replace gas pipes along parts of River Road, Sherwood Avenue, Wildwood Boulevard, Brookford Drive, and other nearby residential streets.
The utility plans to replace more than 23,000 feet of pipe, including the service lines for more than 500 customers.
The $1.86 million project is scheduled for completion by fall. Some temporary traffic disruptions may occur, but no street closings are planned.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the library, 3265 Glanzman Rd. Columbia Gas also plans to have a company representative available on site throughout the project to answer questions.
