Ohio gas prices up again to start week

Average cost 9 cents higher than national average

COLUMBUS — Prices at the gas pump in Ohio are up again.

The cost for a gallon of regular gas in Ohio was averaging $3.53 in today's survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and WEX Inc. That’s 9 cents higher than last Monday — and 24 cents higher than a month ago.

However, the Ohio average today is 18 cents lower than at the same time last year.

The national average is about $3.42 per gallon, which is up 6 cents from last week and 13 cents higher than a month ago.

The lowest average price in the state today was $3.48 in the Youngstown area.
