Columbia Gas of Ohio announces Sept. rate
8/30/2014Columbia Gas of Ohio Inc. announced Friday that its September rate for residential natural gas customers will be 54 cents per hundred cubic feet.
The rate is based on the recent closing price of 40 cents per hundred cubic feet on the New York Mercantile Exchange, and 14 cents for a state-approved service fee.
With the new rate, the utility said the average customer bill for September will be $34.61.
A year ago the September rate was 49 cents per ccf and the average bill was $31.64.
The current August rate is 52 cents per hundred cubic feet and the average bill is $30.76.
