Food for Thought taps interim chief director

Jillian Bunge of Whitehouse has been hired as interim executive director of Food for Thought, a nonprofit agency that provides food assistance to the needy. Ms. Bunge, the mobile pantry coordinator, will take over Aug. 31 and serve until a permanent director is hired.

Food for Thought programs include more than 20 mobile pantry sites where people can shop for food and host weekend picnics to feed the homeless.

The agency bought a second mobile pantry through a $40,000 grant from the ProMedica Health System Advocacy Fund.
