It will be a very busy week at Way Public Library.

There will be a free compost workshop at 7 p.m. Tuesday, with Vicki Gallagher of the 577 Foundation and Judy Hagen of the city of Perrysburg. Topics include making basic compost from table scraps and garden debris.

The two will be back Thursday at 7 p.m. to talk about rain gardens.

On Wednesday at 7 p.m., Judy Pfaffenberger will be talking about her trip through Normandy, where she saw the D-Day beaches and other memorable spots, during a travel talk at the library.

A Ken Burns film called The Address will be shown at 10:30 a.m. Thursday that focuses on the Gettysburg Address by President Abraham Lincoln.

On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the library will host its spring book sale, where thousands of books will be available. It is $15 for a large bag of books, $5 for a small bag. Items also can be purchased individually.
