Panthers slips past Napoleon in overtime

Maumee 68, Napoleon 66

Zach Cliff put back a rebound with six seconds in overtime to give Maumee a home victory Friday night in Northern Lakes League boys basketball.

Jordan Lauf missed a potential game-tying shot at the end for Napoleon.

Jason Wanamaker scored 25 points, including seven 3-pointers to lead Maumee. Dominique King added 17 points and Sean McGovern contributed with 16 points.

Lauf led Napoleon with 27 points, while Anson Lankenau added 16 and Blake Dunbar 13.

Springfield 44 Southview 33

Marquan Hodges, Logan Weimer and Markese Hicks each scored nine points to lead the Blue Devils to the road victory.

Matt Morrison scored a game-high 11 points to lead Southview. J.J. Pinckney added 10 points.

Perrysburg 63,Northview 41

Four different Yellow Jackets scored in double digits as Perrysburg pulled away .

Nick Moschetti (19 points), Shane Edwards (18), Bryant Byrd (11), and Nate Patterson (10) paced Perrysburg (7-2, 4-0) which led 25-20 at halftime before outscoring the Wildcats 38-21 after the break.

Jeff Czerniakowski (13 points) and Connor Hartnett (11) led Northview (4-5, 1-3).

Eagles shake Royals; Bulldogs trounce Comets

Eastwood 55,Elmwood 41

PEMBERVILLE — The Eagles controlled the third quarter, outscoring the Royals 12-5 to pull away Friday night in Northern Buckeye Conference boys basketball.

Jake Schmeltz finished with 18 points to lead Eastwood (2-8, 2-2 NBC), which had 11 players score. Grant Peters added 10 points.

Zach Foster scored a game-high 20 points for Elmwood (5-3, 2-2), while Aaron Arnold added 10.

Rossford 100, Genoa 62

GENOA — Derek Mack led Rossford with 17 points.

Matt Enderbury and Neil Savage each scored 16 points for the Bulldgos, while Brian Burks scored 14 and Mack Miller 10.

Luke Rightnowar and Casey Gose led Genoa with 15 points each. Amos Kauder added 13 points and Jake Schimming scored 12.

Rebels, Spartans gain wins

Bowsher 85, Bryan 77

Bowsher outscored Bryan 26-18 in the fourth quarter to ensure a home victory Friday night in boys basketball.

Cameron White poured in 25 points, Dajuan King added 23 points and Andre Kizer chipped in with 16 points for the Rebels (8-3).

Sean Culler led Bryan (4-5) with 17 points, while Austin Schimmoeller added 15, Jason Hug 14 and Tom Martin 11.

Start 55, Wauseon 49

WAUSEON — Scottie Hicks scored 15 points and Dexter Johnson added 13 as the Bulldogs won on the road.

Johnson scored nine of his points in the fourth quarter for the Spartans (6-3).

Collin Bzovi scored 18 points to lead Wauseon (6-4). Michael Hammonds added 17.

Smith, Ashe pace Panthers to victory

Whitmer 70,Lima Senior 64

LIMA — Ricardo Smith scored 24 points and Jon Ashe tallied 21 as the Panthers won on the road in a Three Rivers Athletic Conference boys basketball game.

Whitmer (8-1, 4-1 TRAC) led by as many as 16 points before the Spartans came as close as three late.

Lima Senior (4-4, 2-2) was led by Devon Allen, who scored 18 points. Isiah Simpson and Ruben Flowers each scored 14.

St. John’s 81, Clay 41

The Titans rolled on the road, dominating the second half by a 48-18 count.

Marc Loving scored 23 points, going 13 of 16 from the free-throw line, and collected 12 rebounds.

Chris Stearns and Anthony Glover each added 13 points, while Austin Gardner chipped in with 10.

Pat Booth’s 16 points spurred the Eagles.

Central Catholic 59,Fremont Ross 30

FREMONT — Nate Harris scored 18 points for Central Catholic.

The Irish jumped out to a 14-4 lead after the opening quarter and never trailed after.

Keith Towbridge scored 11 points and Deontae Clole added 10 points for the Irish.

Tyler Wolf and Alex Metcalf scored eight points each to lead Fremont Ross.

Fremont St. Joseph 74, Tiffin Calvert 37

TIFFIN — Hunter Harrison scored 14 points to lead Fremont St. Joseph (8-2) to a win Friday night in boys basketball.

Connor Dudley added 13 points, Ryan Williams 12, and Luke Stierwalt 11.

Brian Gruss paced Tiffin Calvert (2-9) with 13 points.

Lakota 55, Hopewell-Loudon 53

KANSAS — The Raiders made 22 of 34 free throws to help secure the Midland Athletic League win.

Colin Timmons scored 13 points to lead Lakota (3-7, 1-3 MAL), while Darris McGown added 11.

Tyler Imes scored a 24 points for Hopewell-Loudon (6-4, 2-2). Dereck Runion added 11 points.

Sandusky Perkins 58, Oak Harbor 40

OAK HARBOR — Brandon Smith finished with 23 points to lead the Pirates. Nic Williams added 14.

A.J. Cecil scored 12 points and Greg Haas contributed 11 to lead Oak Harbor.

Miller City 59, Patrick Henry 48

HAMLER — Austin Lammers scored 18 points and Ross Kaufman added 17 for Miller City.

A.J. Wagner finished with 16 points and Jake Carrizales added 13 for Patrick Henry, which trailed only 33-30 going into the fourth quarter.
