Patrick Henry’s Pettit is D-VI top defensive player

Patrick Henry’s Colt Pettit was named Division VI co-defensive player of the year Wednesday on the Associated Press All-Ohio football team.

The 6-foot-4, 260-pounder Pettit made 77 tackles, 11½ sacks to receive All-Ohio first-team honors. He has committed to play at Virginia Tech.

PH teammate Tobey Hernandez (running back) was named to the D-VI third team, as was Northwood kicker Jacob Vickers.

Edon's Connor Hug nd McComb's Clay Dysert, both receivers, were named to the Division VII first team on offense, while Fremont St. Joseph's Corey Durbin (lineman) was named to the first-team defense.

McComb's Mitch Schroeder and Fremont St. Joseph's Jake Yeckley were selected to the second team as defensive backs.
